GARAGE PORTER
Maintain cleanliness of parking garage, general maintenance duties on company-owned property and equipment within garage/parking lot, and overall duties as assigned within assigned account, including painting, power-washing, and back-up cashier duties. Above average, tactile ability to fix things, general maintenance skills, and mechanical knowledge. Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all customers and co-workers. Acknowledge and greet customers immediately while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure. Maintain clean, neat work environment including all surrounding areas of cashier booth, parking area, trash receptacles and ash urns. Execute all terms and conditions as set forth in American Valet’s employee handbook. Follows all attendance standards as set forth by American Valet, as required by the scheduling. Follow all appearance standards as set forth by American Valet. Complete all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by supervisor.
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand during entire shift, occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and ability to adjust focus. Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service experience and preferred Register/Computer experience preferred. Must be able to speak, read and write standard English language. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Spanish Bilingual Skills highly preferred.
