SHUTTLE DRIVER
Shuttle drivers are responsible for providing aggressive hospitality in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner to all customers.
The job duties of this position include, but are not limited to: drive company vehicle within designated route as set forth by company, operate vehicle in cautious and safe manner; assist with customers’ belongings such as baby strollers and wheelchairs; and provide driving directions and other pertinent information to customers.
Additionally, Shuttle Drivers are responsible for following American Valet’s safety and prevention policies; always follow traffic signs and lights, never drive above the posted speed limit, professionally wash the shuttle at least once per week, maintain a full tank of gas at all times, keep track of passenger counts throughout shift, and ensure that the vehicle is serviced every 3000 miles. All company issued materials must be kept securely inside vehicle, including radios, mobile phones, Driver Notebooks, and hospital issued access cards. Lastly, and most important, shuttle drivers must offer the greatest level of customer service. All drivers will be familiar with their work location and be able to give directions and answer customer questions. The ability to work well independently, with minimal direct supervision will be required at times.
Must be able to speak, read and write English language.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service experience is highly preferred. Past Driving Experience a plus.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit in a vehicle during entire shift. Must have free range of motion to safely check tires and place step under door for shuttle patrons. Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. For insurance purposes, must be at least 23 years of age. DOT Physical and Pre-Employment Drug Test is required. Background Check is required.
