VALET PARKING ATTENDANT
At American Valet, you'll find a dynamic environment where all associates are valued and rewarded accordingly. Our valets are responsible for providing aggressive hospitality in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner to all guests. The job duties of this position include, but are not limited to: parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt, yet safe manner; assisting with customers’ belongings such as baby strollers, suit jackets, and wheelchairs; and providing driving directions and other information to guests. Additionally, Valets are responsible for following American Valet’s safety and loss prevention policies including: issuing claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys; collecting claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; maintaining security within parking lot; abiding by all revenue collection and control procedures established by company; consistently completing and maintaining all ticket information; and immediately reporting all incidents to the supervisor. The ability to work well independently, with minimal direct supervision will be required at times.
Physical Demands
Must be able to run at top speed; stand during entire shift; occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; to regularly stand, walk, run, use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Must be able to: regularly lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to drive a manual transmission (stick shift). Customer service experience highly preferred.
FOR PART-TIME VALETS
We require you to be available for Friday and Saturday night shifts. Apply only if you're available during these times.
Full time valets will work 35 to 40 hours per week. Due to insurance purposes you are required to be at least 19 years of age.
