Robert Plaisted, Director of Operations
Robert Plaisted joins us after leaving a 22 year career with Home Depot.  In his new position he will be managing and guiding the entire operations department.  He has three kids; Aaron, Alec, and Alexa.   He enjoys hiking, running, drinking coffee, working on home improvement projects, rainy days, and puppy dogs.  Robert is originally from Long Beach and is the youngest of three children.  His favorite restaurant is Pete’s Fish & Chips!

Jeff Sheppard, Training Manager
Jeff was an Account Manager for 11 months until he was recently promoted to Training Manager.  Jeff is a former masseuse who became our full time training manger in October of 2007.  In his new position he trains new employees on how to properly valet a customer’s car while maintaining the high level of customer service that we are famous for.  Jeff is originally from Michigan and he is currently engaged to Sarah. 

If you’re a runner, there is no doubt that you have seen American Valet “running for the money” at some of the events around town.  The American Valet Running Club has helped raise awareness for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Frank Kush Youth Foundation, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Arizona, the Caesar E. Chavez Foundation, and pancreatic cancer research.  The American Valet Running Club recently earned 3rd place at the 32nd Annual New Times 5K Run and Walk.  Way to go Running Club!

Jordan Grant is the Account Manager at The Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, Arizona.  Jordan and his co-workers offer a high level of customer service as valets and bellman.  Jordan says, “At the Renaissance, we don’t just park cars, we assist people with their luggage, make car rental and restaurant reservations, and meet great and interesting people.”  So, who’s the most interesting person that Jordan’s met during his hospitality career?  Tommy Lasorda.  “Tommy was extremely talkative, constantly telling and playing jokes on me and my staff,” says, Jordan.  Jordan enjoys his job and loves working for American Valet. 

As a reward to our employees who refer the most people to work for American Valet, we reward them with a chance to win an I-pod!  The employee who refers the highest number of people is the winner of the contest.  This past month we had a tie!  Here are our most recent winners.  Congrats to Steven Aragonez and Gary Hammond for winning an I-pod in the month of November. 

American Valet would like to congratulate Rodrigo del Rio and Irais del Rio on their recent wedding.  Rodrigo is the Account Manager at Scottsdale Healthcare – Shea Campus.  The bride and groom were married on December 1, 2007.
