Valet Olympics |
 For the first time ever, local valet drivers will have a chance to win cash, medals, and bragging rights at an organized Valet Olympics. Phoenix based valet company, American Valet, will host its First Annual Valet Olympics on Sunday, April 20th. The competition will begin at 11:00am at Sunnyslope High School parking lot, directly west of the American Valet corporate headquarters. Larry Miller Dodge of Peoria will be the sponsor, providing five brand new vehicles; various models from the Dodge line. The events will include a timed parking obstacle course, written test, customer service problem solving, and a running competition. The top three valets will then go on to compete in the Final Valet Showdown. Cash prizes and gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded. The competition will be fierce. Already 20 valet employees are signed up to compete for the glory! |

American Valet continues to seek out innovative services that transform the valet parking experience for our customers. This year we launched Valet Express, a service that allows our guests to have their vehicles ready and waiting for them when they are leaving the establishment. Valet Express is user friendly and enables customers to maximize their time spent in an establishment rather than at a valet podium waiting for their vehicle. Customers follow two simple steps to enjoy this service.
Step One - Call the number on the back of the valet ticket and enter your valet ticket number
Step Two - Return to the valet area within the time frame that the automated recording indicated and your vehicle will be available for pick up!

American Valet is blogging! |
In the days of text messaging, podcasting, and youtube, American Valet is jumping on the communication bandwagon with an employee driven blog. The blog will be accessible through the American Valet website. All employees will have access to read and post a blog of their own on subjects that pertain to their job; including corporate questions about time off, stories about great tippers, and tips on how to drive the latest hybrid car. The blog was created to meet the unique communication styles that American Valet employees have chosen to adopt. The average age of an American Valet employee is 19-26, otherwise known as Generation Y. This group prefers their information easily-accessible, instantaneous, and interactive. Generation Y members also look to their employer to provide a fun, socially based working environment. The employee blog will give all 580 employees the opportunity to socialize with one another at the touch of a keyboard. The company hopes to use this benefit to continue to attract the best employees and keep the workforce in the loop on company-driven information.

The Scottsdale Healthcare valets were so good and nice to me. They are absolutely wonderful. They were all very polite and would always open the door. They would always say “have a great evening” or "we'll see you tomorrow" or "welcome back."
